Streetcars

A streetcar is usually a light rail vehicle running on a track in the street. Streetcars are also known as trams and trolleys.

The Waterfront Streetcar is a streetcar line running along part of the Seattle waterfront and a few blocks east. It is primarily a tourist attraction and uses restored vintage streetcars (trams) from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. This line has been temporarily replaced by buses pending construction of a new maintenance base.

The South Lake Union Streetcar is a new line from Westlake Center in Downtown Seattle to the South Lake Union area about a mile north. This line uses modern streetcars instead of vintage ones.
