You may be wondering why this page exists. Well, the reason is that I have had a lifelong obsession with street lighting. I don't know how it got started, but when I was five years old, I could tell (during the daylight) which street lights were high-pressure sodium and which were mercury vapor. The topic of street lights has always fascinated me, and I always have an eye to the sky.

I am a graduate of Washington State University, where I earned a degree in Communications. I am always on the lookout for more material for my page. If you have a link or anything you consider relevant, please send me an email at jrterry@eskimo.com

For those interested, I have stripped out the ballast and put in a 160 watt self-ballasted mercury bulb.
