A friend built 30 layers of aluminum foil and Capton with no detectable results. He used a balance beam. On the .015 tin, there was a very slight difference at about 45 layers (maybe 1/10 of a gram) but none detectable at either 30 or 60 layers. The measurement on the Capton layer thckness was about 50% thicker than two layers of wax paper using a micrometer. That might be a factor also to be considered. The other person used mylar but his scale was out of range for the electric rocket weight. I suggested a balance beam and he is purchasing a higher voltage DC source. A wilmerst hand crank generator might be good all around for expense and being able to test at different voltages up the scale (Wax paper two layers could rupture or short at about 800 volts). Feel free to post the above information if it helps someone. Good Luck - Buster Anderson
